Graduation Requirements

Domestic Students

Local students have the same requirements as international students with the exception that an exchange is required during their time in the IBMBA program.

  1. Minimum 39 credits (including 15 mandatory credits; 15 Foundation/Core credits and 9 elective credits);

  2. 6~9 out of 39 credits needed to be accomplished by an overseas exchange program (including ACT and dual degree program);

  3. Both master thesis and defense must be written and presented in English.

International Students

Below are the requirements for international students to graduate from the IBMBA program.

  1. Minimum 39 credits(including 15 mandatory credits; 15 Foundation/Core credits and 9 elective credits);

  2. Reach Chinese Proficiency: TOCFL score Level 2(A2) or New HSK score Level 2;

  3. Both master thesis and defense must be written and presented in English.

Course Credit Structure

Coursework: All courses are conducted in English. The course requirements are as follows:

  1. 6 Mandatory Courses (15 Credits):
    The Practice of Corporate Ethics and Social Responsibility (2 credits); Sustainable Leadership Forum (1 credit); International Business Management; Statistics and Quantitative Methods; Research Methodology and Financial Management

  2. 2 Foundation Courses (6 Credits)**: Accounting and Managerial Economics

  3. 3 Core Courses (9 Credits): Provided by the IBMBA program.

  4. 3 Elective Courses (9 Credits): any elective courses offered by the IBMBA program, or English-taught courses offered by all departments and institutions within the College of Management.

**These two courses are mandatory but may be waived by similar courses with equivalent credits that were already taken by students during their Bachelor's study.
In case of discrepancy, the actual regulations on admission notices shall prevail.
