Brogent Technologies- Fun is our business
On 11th November, Instructor of Asia Pacific Business Environment course, Professor Kim Choy Chung led students from IBMBA and GHRM MBA Program, NSYSU College of Management to visit the Brogent Technologies Company, which is in Kaohsiung software technology park.
Students rode the amazing attractions “Q-Ride”. They wore on the VR glasses and headsets and then started their awesome journey. The film was Ghost in the Shell: Ghost Chaser. Wearing the VR glasses makes you have the feeling of virtually being there. You are the main character, and you have to fight with the bad guy. After experiencing the exciting attractions, we are pleasure to invite Jiang An, the director of International Business Development of technology company (also the alumni of NSYSU) to give us a fantastic lecture. In the beginning, he gave us the introduction of Brogent Technologies. Next, he shared some success cases with us. “Flyover Canada”, it reached 1 million visitors in 28 months, and was voted #1 Fun & Games in Vancouver by TripAdvisor. “Europa park- Voletarium”, the Europe’s largest flying theater. “This is Holland”, a stand alone attraction with 40 seats i-Ride. It worked with UNESCO to film Dutch world heritage sites.
Evelyn, the student from GHRM MBA, shared her opinion “I’m so surprised that there is such a visual experience technology company in Taiwan which is famous around the world. When I visited the i-ride theater, I have learned that the equipment is carefully designed to make the customers comfortable when riding the attractions. Also, the seats should meet the different demands of every customer.” Nora, the student from IBMBA said, “Before visiting the Brogent, I didn’t have a deep understanding of AR and VR. After the lecture and sharing from the director, I am more interested in this industry. The most impressive part of the field trip is visiting the interior of the theater. The director introduced to us what should be taken care of when designing a movie theater. From the space, seat design, and the screen material all of them should be thought seriously. As a movie lover, I finally understand why cinemas are so attractive.” The picture taking draws the field trip to a perfect end. The field trip to Brogent Technologies was a valuable experience and left good memories for all the students.
