《113-1 International Programs》Dive into the Beauty of Sizihwan with Water Sports Event
On October 14, 2024, the Student Association of International Programs at NSYSU organized a beach activity day for IBMBA and GHRM students. The event aimed to strengthen the bonds among students while giving them the chance to enjoy the refreshing waters of Sizihwan Bay during the sweltering summer.
The weather was perfect, with calm seas and a gentle breeze. Coaches from the NSYSU Marine Sports Center prepared tandem kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUP) for the students. According to the instructors, the conditions were ideal for a day on the water. After receiving guidance from the two coaches and having the equipment distributed, students were free to enjoy the serene yet exhilarating experience. With great teamwork, they alternated between kayaking and paddleboarding and even engaged in playful interactions with the coaches.
Though other classes were holding their physical education sessions nearby, this did not affect the students' experience. On the contrary, it offered an opportunity to connect with peers from different programs and sparked interest in the variety of water sports courses offered at NSYSU. The beauty of Sizihwan, combined with the diverse activities available, truly makes it a unique destination for both relaxation and adventure.
After a series of energetic activities on the water, the SA team provided snacks and sports drinks to the participants. This ensured that students could replenish their electrolytes and energy, particularly for those with classes in the afternoon.
The event was a resounding success, with many students praising the marine sports experience offered by NSYSU. Activities like this not only give students a chance to relax and get active before the pressure of midterms sets in, but also encourage interaction between students from different programs. This event is just one example of how NSYSU continues to enhance the student experience by fostering a community that balances academic pursuit with recreational enjoyment.
