IBMBA Students Win Second Place and Sustainability Prize at 2025 ESSC

Three students from the International Business Master of Business Administration (IBMBA)program at National Sun Yat-sen University – Abhijith, Jason, and Yanek – were honored with second place and a Special Prize for Environmental Sustainability at the 2025 English Social Solution Contest (ESSC), held in Taipei.

Organized by the Rotary Club of Taipei, the ESSC invites university students across Taiwan to develop practical, socially driven solutions to real-world problems. The event provides a meaningful opportunity for young minds to explore the intersection of business, innovation, and community well-being.

Team DaoHeal presented a proposal focused on promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) through a non-profit digital platform. Their project addressed challenges such as limited access to TCM services, the digital divide in the industry, and the struggles of aging pharmacy owners. Through thoughtful research and collaboration, the team aimed to offer a solution that not only supports local practitioners but also connects patients more easily to traditional care.

Among the awards presented at the competition, DaoHeal was also recognized with a Special Prize for Environmental Sustainability, sponsored by Crédit Agricole CIB. While the prize title highlights a broader theme, the judges acknowledged the team's contribution for its societal value and potential long-term impact.

“We’re truly honored and grateful for the recognition,” said Abhijith, team representative.

“Participating in ESSC was an eye-opening experience that allowed us to grow as a team, and we are thankful for the chance to contribute ideas we believe in.”

We extend our sincere congratulations to Abhijith, Jason, and Yanek for their achievement and for representing the spirit of the IBMBA program with humility, teamwork, and a commitment to making a difference.
