Ms. Camilla Tung, IBMBA Alumni (Class of 2010)
Camilla who is presently working as a Marketing Project Manager at 3M look back her school life at NSYSU. It is worth to mention that the exchange in EDHEC business school, Camilla had to complete numerous case studies with her classmate, and that’s when she learned the differences between Taiwanese students and French students in general. Besides learning how to put practical effort and theories together, Camilla was more amazed about how French students found the balance between study and entertainment. Most of her times were occupied by studying. Also, students in her class are really proactive; everyone shares useful thoughts and suggestions. Thus, Camilla asked herself to be more confident in class and be brave to share her own opinions towards classmates. Learning is just temporary; however, meeting new friends is the most precious gain for the lifetime.
Being fulfilled with her new skills, Camilla came back to her working life. She continued her career at Uni-President as a product manager. However, her international life in IBMBA and EDHEC inevitably changed the way she thinks. To seek more challenges, Camilla then became a Assistant Marketing Manager in the 3M Company. Working in a global corporation, despite of working with colleagues all around the world, Camilla were required to do numerous Good Practice Sharing. Consequently, her presentation skills, analysis, innovation, speech skills, immediate reaction and so on, were learned through step by step working experience at the time. 3M is company that encourages innovation and also attaches great importance to employee benefits. In 2018, the company won the Work and Life Balance Award of the Ministry of Labor. Students can take it as an option when choosing where to work in the future.
What Camilla would have told her younger self would be confidence and priority. "Believe in yourself no matter what others have said. All you need to do is being confident that you can, and never forget to set your priorities. Different people will have different approaches and priority order, and you have to establish yours too.because work will never be done."
